My knowns. My origins.

Steve Tunturi pictured in a newspaper clipping beside a fantasy sculpture. — Steve Tunturi

My father, Steve Tunturi, carved wizards, dragons, and sorceresses by hand at The Whittler’s Workshop on Highway 101 in Waldport, Oregon. He learned the grain of each piece: where the blade would catch, where the wood wanted to split.

He died in 2006. The son still works with his hands.

This page to Dragons,Wizards,Elves and Magical Crystals has been shortened graphically so you can deceide whether you wish to view the Dragons and Wizards in all their glory,or take a faster walk to the store.

Steve Tunturi is a Master wood carver on the Oregon Coast. He first carves the Dragons and Wizards from fine wood, then has his Elves mold and cast them from a wood and resin mixture. Each is then hand painted by local Artists of the Oregon Coast.

Magical Dragons and Wizards are his love, but Sorceress's and Crystals also live in his work giving Life to all he does.
