The USB integration component for Souveraine: dock roles, gadget profiles, display, input, networking and host-backed storage under one session authority.
The USB receiver presents incoming display frames in an ordinary Wayland window and returns local keyboard and pointer input through the prepared HID endpoints. It attaches to an existing gadget; it does not take the display controller or create a competing gadget owner.
The full composite mode combines display, input and network control, with optional host-backed storage. Session authority owns the mode decision. Seeing a frame, controlling the attached host and presenting a second monitor are separate outcomes to exercise.
Keep the dependency boundary visible
The receiver uses Sam Day's GUD gadget work at a pinned revision. Casey reports Sam's permission to use his upstream repositories in this integration. The pinned dependency's missing license declaration remains visible; source use, the private package route and public redistribution are distinct decisions.
What remains open
- Unified role selection and USB Hands must enter the existing session authority through the selected governing agent or admitted human client.
- Viewing, host input and monitor behavior need separate physical acceptance.
- The substrate builds the pinned receiver source into its aarch64 package; Pixel3Arch packages the companion gadget and storage mechanisms.
